At LYTE™, we believe professional equipment should be backed by clear, practical and reliable support. If something is not right with your order, contact our team and we will help you find the most appropriate solution as quickly as possible.
14-Day Return Policy for Consumers
Consumers purchasing eligible products online or through another distance-selling method have 14 calendar days after receiving their order to request a return in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
This right applies only to consumers purchasing for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
To be eligible for a return, the product must:

be in the same condition in which it was received;
-
show no signs of damage, contamination, modification or unauthorised repair;
-
include all original accessories, cables, brackets, mounting hardware, safety components, manuals and protective materials;
-
be returned in its original packaging, suitable for safe transportation;
-
have all serial number labels, warranty labels and identification markings intact; and
-
be accompanied by a valid receipt, invoice or other proof of purchase.
Consumers may inspect the product in the same way they would reasonably be able to inspect it in a physical store.
The consumer may be responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.
Returns and Exchanges for Business Customers
The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases made by companies, sole traders or other professional customers for business purposes.
Business customers are therefore not entitled to cancel an order or return a non-defective product simply because they have changed their mind, selected the wrong product or no longer require the item.

Once the reported issue has been inspected and confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate solution, which may include technical support, repair or replacement.
A replacement will only be provided where the product is genuinely defective, damaged before delivery, incomplete or different from the product ordered.
Products will not be accepted for return or exchange if they are fully functional and correspond to the confirmed order.
All returns require the prior written approval of LYTE Lighting Kft. Products sent back without prior authorisation may not be accepted.
This policy does not limit any mandatory rights relating to defective performance, warranty or contractual guarantee under applicable law.
How to Request a Return
To request a return or report an issue, contact us at:

your order or invoice number;

the product name and quantity;

the reason for the return or claim;

a detailed description of the reported issue; and

photographs or videos if the product is damaged, defective, incomplete or incorrect.
Please wait for written return authorisation and return instructions before sending any product back to us.
Products returned without prior written authorisation may not be accepted.

Return Shipping
Unless the product is defective, was damaged before delivery, is incomplete or you received an incorrect item, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product.
For large fixtures, flightcases, palletised orders or freight shipments, please contact us before arranging transportation. Our team can assist with selecting a suitable transport method.
Where we provide a return shipping label for a return that is not related to a confirmed defect or incorrect delivery, the shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
We strongly recommend using a trackable and appropriately insured shipping service.
The customer remains responsible for suitable packaging and the safe transportation of the product until it has been received by LYTE Lighting Kft.
Damaged, Defective, Incomplete or Incorrect Products
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery.
Contact us without undue delay if:

the product is visibly damaged;
-
the product appears to be defective;
-
any product, accessory or component is missing; or
-
you received a different product from the one specified in your confirmed order.
Please keep the original packaging and provide clear photographs of:

the external packaging;
-
any visible transport damage;
-
the shipping labels;
-
the product;
-
the affected component; and
-
the serial number label.
We may also request photographs, videos, diagnostic information, fixture settings, software or firmware details, or other reasonable information required to evaluate the reported issue.
Once the issue has been inspected and confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate solution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

remote technical support;
-
firmware or software assistance;
-
the supply of a replacement component;
-
repair;
-
replacement;
-
collection; or
-
refund where appropriate.
A replacement or refund will not be provided where the product is fully functional and corresponds to the confirmed order.
This section does not limit any mandatory rights available under applicable warranty, contractual guarantee or consumer protection law.
Products That Cannot Be Returned
The following products are not eligible for return due to a change of mind, unless otherwise required by applicable law:

custom-made products;
-
products manufactured or modified according to the customer’s specifications;

specially configured or specially ordered products;
-
custom-assembled or cut-to-length cables;
-
products installed, modified, repaired or opened by an unauthorised person;
-
products damaged through misuse, improper handling or incorrect storage;
-
products damaged through incorrect installation or connection;
-
products operated using an unsuitable power supply or control signal;
-
products modified without the written approval of LYTE Lighting Kft.;
-
products used in a manner contrary to the applicable user manual;
-
products with missing, removed, altered or damaged serial number or warranty labels;
-
incomplete products or products returned without essential accessories;
-
activated licences, downloadable products or digital content where the applicable right of withdrawal has expired; and
-
products explicitly identified as non-returnable before purchase, where permitted by applicable law.

Exchanges
Consumer exchanges are subject to the same conditions as returns.
The fastest way for a consumer to receive a different product is generally to return the original product and place a separate order once the return has been accepted.
Business customers are not entitled to exchange a fully functional product that corresponds to the confirmed order because they selected the wrong product, changed their mind or no longer require the item.
For defective, damaged, incomplete or incorrectly delivered products, we may arrange a direct replacement where appropriate.
European Union 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
This section applies only to consumers purchasing for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
It does not apply to purchases made by companies, sole traders or other professional customers for business purposes.
Consumers purchasing eligible products online or through another distance-selling method within the European Union generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason within 14 calendar days.
For products, the withdrawal period begins on the day the consumer, or a third party nominated by the consumer, receives the goods.
Where an order is delivered in multiple separate shipments, the withdrawal period begins when the final product or shipment is received.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must clearly inform us of the decision to withdraw before the 14-day period expires.

After notifying us of the withdrawal, the consumer must return the product without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days from the date of notification.
The consumer is generally responsible for the direct cost of returning the product unless LYTE Lighting Kft. has expressly agreed otherwise.
For products that, due to their size, weight or nature, cannot normally be returned by standard postal service, the cost of return freight may be significant. Please contact us before arranging the return of fixtures, flightcases or palletised shipments.
Refunds Under the EU Right of Withdrawal
Where the statutory right of withdrawal applies, we will refund the payments received for the returned products, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
Additional costs resulting from express, premium or other non-standard delivery methods selected by the customer are not refundable.
Refunds will be issued without undue delay and within the legally required period.
We may withhold the refund until:

the returned products have been received; or
-
the consumer has provided sufficient evidence that the products have been sent back,
whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be issued using the original payment method unless another method has been expressly agreed.
The consumer will not be charged an additional fee for the refund itself.
We may deduct an amount reflecting any reduction in the value of the product caused by handling beyond what was necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect an authorised return, we will notify you whether the return has been approved.
Approved refunds are normally processed within 10 business days following inspection, subject to any shorter mandatory period required by applicable law.
Please note that banks, payment providers and credit card companies may require additional processing time before the refunded amount appears in your account.

Warranty and Service Claims
Returns due to withdrawal or change of mind are handled separately from warranty and service claims.
This Refund & Return Policy does not limit any rights available under:

an applicable legal guarantee;

the LYTE product warranty;
-
a separate contractual guarantee;

our Terms of Service; or
-
mandatory national or European Union law.
